Centre Ridge Sculpture, Ceramics, and Pottery Club
The Centre Ridge Sculpture, Ceramics, and Pottery Club is hosted by Art Teacher, Mr. Ballato. We learn about the history, processes, and types of ceramics. We create 3-dimensional works of art using techniques including pinching, coiling and slab methods. Our club will discuss the importance of ceramics and pottery in our lives today, including function and aesthetics. Our pots will be constructed by using the pinching, coiling, and slab methods. We will also explore mixed-media. Students can manipulate a variety of media using critical and creative thinking skills to create relief and in-the-round sculptures. Join in on the excitement of sculpting!
